And it was a sign that Safeway had a half gallon of half & half on sale for $2.49, the same price as a quart of half & half, so we bought the half gallon and I now have a pot of coffee cooling off and in a little while we'll be up to our ears in iced coffee. I'll brew up another pot in a bit and stash it in the fridge for tomorrow.
We picked up a new phone yesterday at Office Depot, a VTech twin pack, a main phone and an extra. We had to take them back today, they didn't want to take a charge. We traded straight across for another set and this time they are working. Hubby talked to the company and they said there were some that had bad batteries, seemed the first set had them. These will be nice since they only need one phone jack and we can have one in the living room and the other will go in the office.
While we were at the mall we hit the new Ross Dress for Less. This time they had stuff in my sizes. For $33 I walked out with a 2 piece suit, a very nice short sleeved top and a bra. Any place else I shop for clothes that would have been the cost of 1 outfit. I think I'm going to like Ross.
Listening to the scanner in the car while we were running around was interesting. We could see smoke northeast of town and they were reporting a wildfire. Great, just what we needed, hot, fairly dry and the wind is picking up. Someone in authority finally tracked it down (they'd been given the wrong address) and it turns out it was a permitted controlled burn with all the precautions.
Currently surfing and trying to stay cool, tho it is a little bit cooler today.
