One of these will be hanging in the Beyond Retro at Mikey's Gyros starting May 21st and will hang for Art Walk.

I did the background in MyPaint, Hippie Dippy Hippie was drawn in GIMP and I merged the two in Inkscape. Once I printed them out I hand colored in the ground and flowers with colored markers and did the borders with the markers. Poster board and a foam core backing complete the pieces.

Can you really trust the 'gluten free' label on a product? From what I understand these things are not that heavily regulated, especially with foods produce outside of the country. I've picked up quite a few products only to later find traces of gluten.

Unfortunately, until they mandate that if it says "gluten free" it better be gluten free, we will have to trust the company that puts it out. Now I only trust the true gluten free companies that go out of their way to get certified gluten free products, such as Bob's Red Mill and Pamela's and several others for just grabbing the package off the shelf without scrutinizing the ingredients list. Any other product I keep checking and hope I don't have a reaction. Luckily in my case I can handle small amounts of contamination, so for me it isn't too big a problem (usually). Someone with more severe intolerances or Celiac's has to be extra careful.
