I could get seriously used to 4 day weekends

Tho I didn't get half of what I planned done. Just too hot to do most of it. Friday we headed up to Spokane to do a bit of puttering around. Hit Torrid, they have some nice stuff that actually fit, tho most of it was way to young for me. I did get a couple of really nice tank tops with some lace on the bottom. They had them on 2 for $24 instead of the regular $24 each. Got one in purple and the other in fuchsia. We hit the Shopko in the Valley and picked up a couple of shirts fro the hubby. Had dinner at an all you can eat place called Timber Creek Grill Buffet. Not bad. They had fried catfish, fried fish, fried scallops and fried shrimp along with steamed clams and mussels. They also had roast beef, steak and ham. A pretty decent salad bar. I got the steak, right amount of rare. I've had better but this was not bad at all. One neat thing is they also had fried okra, which I love. Spent more money all told, but it was all on things we need and it got us out of town for the day.

If you happen to be in the Moscow-Pullman area between the hours of 6am and 2pm, I recommend you run, don't walk to Tam's Place in Pullman. Located on the Moscow Pullman Hwy across from WSU it is a wonderful little mom and pop family restaurant. Hubby took me out to lunch today and I am still making happy noises from lunch. They make an absolutely too die for prime rib sandwich with au jus. It is topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms and served with horseradish (tho I don't like horseradish, I tried a taste. It certainly gets your attention and if I liked it, would have eaten it). The prime rib was tender, melt in your mouth, just the right level of rare and flavorful. The roll it came on was soft and soaked up the au jus quite nicely and didn't distract from the prime rib. I opted for soup instead of salad or fries. Today's soup was cream of potato. I was expecting a cup, instead got a nice bowl. YUM!!!!!!!! Nice chucks of potato, ham and carrot, seasoned just p

Friday was the last day of school and today is the first day of my 8am-5pm work schedule. ICK!!!!! Okay, I like having the extra hour in the evening to go fishing and whatnot, it is the having to wake up an hour early I don't like. 6am was a tad rude this morning. Of course it was a seriously Monday Monday. I was reminded on Friday I was marked down as coming in early today. For the life of me I couldn't remember why. Nothing in any of my calender programs, couldn't find any appointment cards. Figured it had to be for the doctor, so tried calling them. They close at 12:30 on Fridays. So tried looking for info at home over the weekend. Finally decided it had to be for a blood draw. So figured okay, I can call first thing Monday morning and ask. They don't open until 9am. SIGH! Okay, if it is for a blood draw and I made the appointment several months ago, it probably would be for around 9am. So I get there about 20 minutes til. Turns out my blood draw was last Wednesday a

Hump day

So my move from CP to Zazzle is almost complete and I will be shutting down my CP shop there end of the month. I still need to find the originals of some of my designs, I think they may be on my Windoze machine which has been down as the power supply was borrowed for another computer. Hubby will be putting it back in soon and I can search it for the designs. If I can't find them I will have to recreate them, but with the new graphics tablet they will be better. We hit the fish store on Saturday, they didn't have any bristlenosed plecos, only some commons and a clown pleco. I prefer the bristlenosed, so we opted to try out some little algae eaters. We got two and they are only about an inch long right now and there is a LOT of algae, so they have their work cut out for them. I only see one at a time and they are hid to find they are so small and blend in with the backgrounds. I hope they are up fr the job. Nelson, my surviving gold fish isn't doing too well. He sits on the

An interesting critter week

First I find a big ol' tick on Rum Tum Tuesday morning. So I had to grab a pair of tweezers and pull it off him. It had been on him a while. ICK!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate ticks. So I dug out the tick stuff we had from last year and we got Pheobe and Scrapper tick-proofed on Tuesday night. Had to wait until yesterday morning to get Rum Tum as he stayed out all night. Then we discovered George, our bristlenosed pleco up and died. He'd been acting strangely of late. We checked with our fish guy and he said plecos are nocturnal so him hiding all day is normal. Well, George always was out and about all day, happily eating algae so him going into hiding all of a sudden seemed weird. We had done a major cleaning of the tank at the same time, so we thought maybe he was pouting. He hated having things changed, but started hanging out on top of the skull again, so I thought he was okay. Then we found him stuck up against the filter not moving at all. SIGH!!!!!! We'll look at getting a new G

I'm still here

Sorry for more or less dropping off the face of the earth, but I've been busy with moving Purple Ducky Designs to Zazzle and have been rather depressed in regards to Cafepress. What happened with Cafepress is they have decided to change how they do the marketplace where shop keepers display their wares. Long story short, those of us who have paid premium shops will get seriously screwed by CP come June 1. CP, in their infinite wisdom has decided that they will determine prices of anything in the marketplace and the people who designed the images will get a whole %10 cut of the purchase price, regardless of what they have their stuff priced in their shops. In other words, products in the marketplace will have a price determined by CP and products in the shops will have prices determined by the designer/shopkeeper, effectively making shop keepers compete with themselves if they with to opt into the market place. CP is thus far refusing to talk to the shopkeepers outside of periodic
