Well, FRIBBLE!!!!

and TOSH! I've befuddled my doctor, he doesn't know what is wrong with my knee and is firing me off to an orthopedic surgeon. So I am now awaiting a phone call from one of them for an appointment. In the meantime my doc doesn't want to prescribe me anything that will mask the symptoms and may make things worse. WAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT MEDS NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I hate pain and will be whimpering for the duration. On the upside, I now have my very own PDA, hubby got it for me today. He took it home to finish tweaking things. He also got me this , which is now happily under my mouse.

PPPBBBBTTTHHHH!!!!

Okay, it appears posting is going to be sporadic this summer, just haven't felt like writing much. So the weekend turned out pretty nice and we had a nice visit with my SIL and her boyfriend. As predicted, didn't see a whole lot of the kitties while the puppies were here. My SIL cut my hair shorter and it feels and looks a whole lot better. Here is a pic of Jack and Maia: Fixed spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for dinner, turned out yummy and didn't have much for leftovers. All in all, a nice visit. They headed out for his parent's place in Montana on Sunday. Ended up not doing a whole heck of a lot the rest of the weekend, mostly napped. We did get the flagpole fixed and ran the flags up on Monday. We'd hoped to go fishing on Monday, but the wind was such it would have been miserable to try and fish. Took yesterday off, hubby had a medical procedure and they don't like people driving themselves afterwards. Everything came out fine and they will have the biopsy

WOO HOOO!!!! FRIDAY!!!!!!!

And a 3 day weekend to boot. Sat down and figured out my leave and what not and decided I am going to take every Friday off this summer, starting in June. I earn enough back that I won't be down too many days as I need to make sure I have enough for fall and winter holidays and some extra days off in November to attend a friend's wedding on the Oregon coast. Gotta get my rear in gear tonight, my SIL and her boyfriend are stopping by this weekend on their way to Montana. Should be fun, they are bringing their dogs with them and my kitties are definitely not fond of dogs. They may move next door for the night. We HAVE to do something about the swamp cooler on the roof, when the wind blows while it is raining, the &%^$ leaks. I may have to toss a whole slew of my Analog magazines that got damp. At least a couple have some mold on them WAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll need to pull it and somehow get the hole in the roof covered and insulated. I would LOVE to install o

WHEW!!!! Very busy weekend

Took Friday off, will be taking payday Fridays off for the next little while until I figure out my leave balances and such. I don't want to use up all my annual leave too fast now that I've whittled it down from the cap. I might take every Friday off in July and August. I don't think I'll have enough to do a whole week this year since I want to have time off over Thanksgiving and Christmas and we are also going to a friend's wedding on the Oregon Coast in November, so I need time off for that. We went to Lewiston for shopping and had lunch at the new IHOP. Very, very yummy. I had the Big Country Breakfast since I was in a brekkie mood and OOOHHHHHH it was good. Had it with the chicken fried steak and gravy. Hubby had the monster burger and said it was quite good. Our friend who went with us had an omelet that she enjoyed. Will have to go back again and try the other goodies on the menu. It was pretty hot in the Valley, I kept trying to stay in the coolers at Costco.

Okay, finally blogging again, mentally took a vacation. School ended on Friday, I took my final on Thursday and while I think I did okay on the multiple guess and the short answer questions, I think I blew the short essay big time. My brain just wouldn't function at that point and I couldn't come up with anything coherent (at least not to me). Oh well, as long as I did well enough to keep my B I am happy. I'm hoping at least I actually answered the question, even if I didn't write much. Weather this last weekend was sucky, cold and windy so I didn't get ANYTHING done around the house outside. In fact it was a seriously low energy weekend. I am in desperate need to get more of the garden going and I don't like to work in icky weather. Makes me sleepy and loathe to do anything except catching up on the various races I had on the DVR (watched Talladega and Richmond, haven't watched Darlington as yet). I have been plugging away at designs for my shop . My most r

Top 10 reasons to give up dieting

Top Ten Reasons To Give Up Dieting 10. DIETS DON'T WORK. Even if you lose weight, you will probably gain it all back, and you might gain back more than you lost. 9. DIETS ARE EXPENSIVE. If you didn't buy special diet products, you could save enough to get new clothes, which would improve your outlook right now. 8. DIETS ARE BORING. People on diets talk and think about food and practically nothing else. There's a lot more to life. 7. DIETS DON'T NECESSARILY IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH. Like the weight loss, health improvement is temporary. Dieting can actually cause health problems. 6. DIETS DON'T MAKE YOU BEAUTIFUL. Very few people will ever look like models. Glamour is a look, not a size. You don't have to be thin to be attractive. 5. DIETS ARE NOT SEXY. If you want to be more attractive, take care of your body and your appearance. Feeling healthy makes you look your best. 4. DIETS CAN TURN INTO EATING DISORDERS. The obsession to be thin can lead to anorexia, bulimia,

Tomorrow is International No Diet Day!!!

TORONTO, May 5 /CNW/ - Got a pair of jeans in your closet with a four year old price tag? End the torture, donate 'em! Today is International NO DIET day - a day to celebrate healthy, natural curves without apology. "It's scientifically proven that diets do not work over time. The result of 'yo-yo' dieting from excessive dieting is now being linked with heart disease," says Jill Andrew, women's body image workshop facilitator and founder/producer of Canada's first and only plus size fashion fundraiser Curvy Catwalk. "Maintain regular fun exercise, eat wisely, which can include cheesecake, and don't obsess over the scale," Andrew says. Andrew recently won the national 2008 Michele Landsberg Award presented by the Canadian Women's Foundation for her work through media and activism to help empower the lives of women and girls. The average North American woman is a size 14 yet according to NEDIC, 80 to 90% of women dislike their bodies. 7
