Kootani County Prosecutor Bill Douglas denied a request by Joseph Duncan's lawyer to cop a plea in exchange for a life sentence instead of going to trial with the death penalty on the table. I must admit I am conflicted. I was to see the slime up against the wall in front of a firing squad, but then again, I'd like to not see poor Shasta having to be in the same room with the slime while testifying. How about a compromise, take the plea deal and then put the slime into the general population and stand back. "Life" in prison will be a matter of minutes.

In the meantime the judge in the case has imposed gag orders in order to give Duncan a chance at a fair trial.

Frederick Russell lost his appeal in the Irish Supreme court to try and avoid being sent back here to stand trial for the deaths and injuries he caused from driving drunk.
