Happy St Patrick's Day y'all

Hope everyone is having a good Friday.

FRIDAY!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, it's been a loooong week. Woke up this morning in the wee hours and thought, yay! Saturday, but then remembered it's Friday :( Oh well.

FINALLY watched last Sunday's race last night. I took my Jeff Gordon christmas ornamanet and put up on my computer monitor and facing towards the TV. Hubby looked over and said if I tried to mess with temporal reality he'd be very upset. I told him since I didn't know the outcome of the race (I didn't, I'd managed to avoid ALL talk of NASCAR all week), Jeff still had a chance to win LOL. He didn't, but he did come in in the top 5 so I'm happy. Great end of hte race, tho Matt Kenseth shouldn't have been beating himself up about losing to Jimmy Johnson, he raced good and I think if he hadn't had to slow down for a caution, just might have been able to win, even with car troubles.

A wee bit of snow on the ground this morning, tho by the time I got up it was raining. Looks pretty wet for the weekend, tho there may be a chance on Sunday to get out and do some outside work I need to find all my seeds and make sure I HAVE some broccoli seed to plant. I know for sure I've got lots of spinach seed, so that won't be a problem. I may need more lettuce seed tho, but I'm pretty sure I still have part of a packet from last year.

Still have to hunt down some corned beef. Have to double check Winco, they only had flat briskets for almost $2 a lb, I prefer the points. Safeway has the points for 99 cents a lb, so if Winco doesn't have any, we'll hit Safeway sometime this weekend. I'd like to get several if possible and look at popping a couple in the crockpot so I can freeze the leftovers for other stuff. I'm wanting to try my hand at from scratch corned beef hash.

Someone freecycled some laying hens, I was SOOOOOOOO tempted LOL but have no place to keep them and I know the property owner would have kittens. I really want a piece of property of our own. Gotta look at buying lottery tickets again. Winning enough to buy our own little homesetead would be nice, even if I have to keep working so we can have health insurance.

Lunch today is leftovers from last night. I did up some bnlskl chicken thighs in the skillet with a bit of olive oil, lemon juice and Johnny's garlic caesar. For a side I did a packet of parmasean noodle stuff and then forgot to turn the timer on (I set it, forgot to push the button :P). I did manage to remember the noodles before they completely boiled to goo and scorch the pot. The pot of course requires a LOONG soak to get the cooked on noodles and sauce loosened to the point I can clean it out. Luckily I still had enough for hubby and me and a little leftovers.
