A very lazy day today

Slept in til 10:30 this morning, then again we didn't get to bed until 1 am. Yesterday did putter about, tho I was feeling very crappy most of the day. Just wandering around the stores I felt like crawling under a shelf and dying. Finally started feeling a bit better by late last night.

We had to go to Wally World yesterday, in as much as we didn't want to. That may be part of why I was feeling like crap. Wally World is starting to get toxic and hubby was ready to start running people over he was so stressed after being in there for only 20 minutes. But it was the only place we could get the little light fixtures we need to add light to the kitchen and bedroom. We've checked al the other places in town and they didn't have them. Also we need to get another shelving unit for the bedroom and Wally World is the only place that sells the Plano units we like. They are white plastic with 4 shelves and slip together easily. They are also less then $10. We have managed to cut our trips there to a minimum, as we have decided it is better to pay a few dollars more to buy what we need at local business if we can. Wally World is the store of last resort and so far we've managed to cut our trips there down to once or twice a month.

Finally got the flag pole back up. Hubby got the idea to use carriage bolts from one of the guys from TriState (one of the local stores we prefer to spend our money). So the pole is attached to the deck upright and should be faster to take down in case of high winds.

We HAVE to figure out where the house is leaking that is is coming in thru the front door. It rained like a son of a gun last night and flooded the kitchen again. It drips down between the front door and the screen door and leaks in under the front door and the runs alon the wall. Haven't found how far is comes into the living room ans ther is shelves and furniture along that wall and I have't moved it to find out yet. More rain predicted for today.

Watching todays Nextel race. I set it up to record and so when I got up I started it over. Exciting race so far, they had a teeny tiny fender bender in pit road and several cautions with cars spinning out. At least this time the first caution didn't happen until the 4th lap LOL. I missed last weeks race, so I didn't get to see Jeff Gordon win :( With luck I can see him win today. Jeeze, lap 32 and ANOTHER caution!

Have the ham defrosting, I'll put it in cold water in a little bit if it is still a bit frozen. I'll bake it will Dr Pepper to baste it with. Adds a nice sweet flavor to it.
