Very disappointed in WinCo

Went over after work to buy the turkey and groceries. WinCo has the lowest prices for the turkey and we do like shopping there. Well, they had them for 28 cents a pound BUT you had to spend $50 to get that price!!!!! Granted that included the turkey, but when you only have $40 total to spend on groceries for the next couple of weeks that is completely out of the question. So we said screw that and went back across town to Safeway, where we only had to spend $25 and we only paid 29 cents a pound. So we now have most of what we need and came in less then $30. Still have a few odds and ends we need to get at WinCo, like powdered milk and brown sugar I get in the bulk section, plus the sugar free shasta sodas we like, but that we can get with what we have left from the grocery money.

Hit the dollar store for a few odds and sods (TP, dryer sheets) and found some really nice martini glasses. So we picked up 4. They are taller then normal and have a gold rim. Very elegant. Now we have enough martini glasses to serve guests.

Tummy feeling better, we picked up more bread, so that one loaf can go out into the compost bin tomorrow. Now I just have to figure out how I am going to cook the roast I pulled out of the freezer. We picked up a 10 lb bag of russet potatos, so I think I will pop a couple of those into bake, so while I have the oven on I'll season the roast and toss that in also. Serve it with brocoloi as the beg. A nice simple dinner.
