My weekend

Had a pretty relaxing one, didn't do a whole heck of a lot.

We seemed to have gotten free HBO and Showtime this weekend, so we recorded a few movies to watch that we've been interested in, but didn't want to rent them.

Down with Love with Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor. Cute film, I recommend watching once, but it wasn't worth saving to our collection. They almost got the feel of the Rock Hudson/Doris Days films of the 60's, but not quite and there were a quite a number of places where it was definately forced and a couple scenes that went on way to long. But seeing Ewan in a towel made the whole movie worth it

Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman. A very sweet film, tho not one to go into our permanent collection. I do recommend seeing it at least once. It did have me sobbing at the end and my hubby rolling his eyes (he's not big on tear jerkers).

Vampires Anonymous. Neat premise, a vampire who goes into 12 step rehab and the problems he has with it. Stretches thin in a few places and we felt there were parts of the film that hit the cutting room floor, it felt like there were major gaps in it. Recommend seeing at least once.

The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan. Jackie, we love you dearly, but this movie sucked. It had a couple of high moments, but not enough to save it.

Galactic Odessy aka Star Quest II aka Mind Breakers. Run, don't walk to your nearest exit, this stinker show be burned and never allowed to see another day. I love Adam Baldwin and am anxiosuly awaiting Serenity, but what the heck was he thinking when he agreed to star in this stinker. It isn't even worthy of being called "a paying your dues movie".
