Why did't anyone TELL me rhubarb has roots that go miles down into the ground!!!!!!! I decided that I was going to move the darn thing to it's new space, so out I went, completely unsuspecting with my shovel. I darn near needed dynamite to get the bloody thing uprooted, and I still didn't get all the roots out!
WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!That darn thing better like it's new spot, I ain't gonna try and move that sucker again!!!! I hope what roots I left in the old space don't grow, I'll be digging rhubarb out of my sugar peas for a while. All the little bits and pieces that either got cut thru or fell off are now spread out around the main plant, so if they grow, I'm gonna have a bummer crop of rhubarb, and I don't even like it LOL
