TGIF!!!

AHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

25 minutes to go and I am free for 3 whole days :D Not much planned this weekend, work on getting the cold frames figured out and up. Move part of the compost pile to the spot in front of the shed where I going to expand my garden and go to a BBQ at a friends on Monday. Hopefully the weather stays decent for at least most of the weekend. Definately have to look at working on all those webpages I need to finish or update. I also have a lot of pics to process and post.

Hubby called the vet to check on how much it will cost to get Nicky edited (we refuse to call it getting him fixed, there isn't anything broken). $43!!!!!!! Used to be boy kitties only cost $25 to get them edited. Hate to see what they charge for girl kitties! Add his next set of shots and it will be close to $100. Needless to say, I hope we can hold out another month or two before getting him edited so we can save up enough money to do so, or else his shots are going to have to wait a while.

The fried rice turned out wonderfully well last night. I cut the beef into strips and cooked them in the cast iron skillet and then added some of the Safeway Select Plum sauce (very yummy stuff, you can find it in the BBQ sauce section of the store). Did up the rice with the young onions from my garden, added a couple eggs, cumin and soy sauce. Dished up the rice and topped it with the beef. Nummy!!!!!!!!!

Since we weren't faced with having to re-register the Escort, we celebrated by doing a little grocery shopping. Picked up a fresh pork roast for a decent price. I'll brine it with an orange juice brine and then slow roast it this weekend. That will give us dinner on Sunday and then leftovers I can use during the week.
