It's been a whole year

Since I got run over by my car (or maybe the other car, still haven't gotten a concise answer on what the hell happened besides the old man mistook his gas pedal for his brake) in the parking lot of the Clarskston WA Costco. Needless to say, I avoided being in the car as much as possible this weekend and when I was, I made darned sure there was no way anyone could plow into the front of my car. Finally looking at getting a settlement. First negotiations have started. Will still be a few months. Hopefully we'll get a decent amount. Lots of bills still need to be taken care of. Going to have long term issues. The vertigo simply does not want to go away, so am learning to deal with it. Luckily I haven't had any really bad episodes where I can't function for the day in a while. It's the arthritis in my tailbone that really pisses me off tho. Having a literal pain in the ass is not fun! I am hoping the heavy duty anti-imflammatories do the trick in helping keep the

Spring redecorating

So Blogger has come out with new themes for blogs and of course I simply jumped on them for all my blogs. Rather liking these new themes. Will probably be changing them around for a while, but will try and not change them too often. Back on heavy duty prescription anti-inflammatories. Didn't quite want to, but the nutritional methods couldn't quite deal with the tendinitis flair up and the increased arthritis pain in my hips when I wake up in the mornings. Makes working out in the pool now a lot easier. I am really hoping it will deal with the arthritis pain in my tailbone. This is getting frigging ridiculous! Still not fond of getting up so early, never going to be a morning person no matter how long I gotta live in an 8-5 world. But have my morning routines down now. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I get up around 6 am, turn on the Roku and TV and live stream Good Morning Northwest until 7 am. Don't see the news stories unless they turn the iPad towards their monit

Happy 1st day of Spring!!!!!!

Now if winter would just make sure it leaves I will be happy. So tired of it, at least the snow part. Rain I don't mind, tho we had quite a bit on Saturday, regular deluge. We needed to get out of the house for a while, so drove around a bit and got some pictures. Paradise Creek at Mountainview Park: South fork of the Palouse River at Paradise Ridge Road: Thankfully the flooding wasn't too bad and by Sunday levels were dropping. But we have more rain headed this way and a lot of the outlying areas and towns didn't fair as well as we have. I made a piece for an upcoming Palouse Women Artists show, I had been drawing a blank and was going to skip it, then hubby gave me an idea on Saturday and BING!!!!! I was off and running. The show is "Masks" and I made "Hiding behind technology". I think it came out pretty cool: Took it to PWA meeting yesterday to drop it off and quiz a few people on what I should price it at. I am always under pricing my

Oh fun, oh joy!

We are under flood watch again. Been nice to have had a few days to dry out. Where we live is no problem, we are on high ground, but I have friends who live in the various flood zones who had problems last week with the flooding. Was the worst flooding in Moscow since the ones in 1996. At least we've had a couple days to dry out a bit and hopefully this next round of rain won't cause the creeks and rivers to rise too high. I have actually organized dinners this week. Did grocery shopping this weekend and processed chicken and pork into meals and future meals. I have pork loin chops marinating that I will brown in the Instant Pot tonight, then cook with brown rice. Yesterday I tested the cooker with pinto beans that were still dried. Made very nice refried beans I served with chicken last night and will use for tacos for dinner tomorrow night. I have bone in chicken thighs marinating in soy sauce, 5 Spice, garlic, sesame oil and rice vinegar for Wednesday dinner. Will sau

Look who's here

Swooped Gandalf into the house last night. He wandered around a bit and then disappeared. Finally discovered he'd found a hidey hole in the bedroom closet, so we just left him there. About 3 OMG o'clock in the morning I woke up to hear him in the bathroom with Napoleon. Coaxed him close and swooped him up onto the bed for pets and scritches before he went back into his hidey hole. This morning I dug him out and showed him there was wet food in the kitchen (Napoleon takes about two bites and wants to go outside. He usually finishes it later if Pheobe hasn't already). He took a few bites and back into his hidey hole. Left him there while I had more coffee and then dug him out for pets, pictures and then put him by the front door to show he could go out. He took a moment before leaving and then took his time going down the steps. Will be a while I think before we can get him to come in and be comfortable in the house. Napoleon and Phoebe are pretty cool with him. Just

Absolutely loving my Instant Pot

As mentioned on my other 2 blogs, we picked up the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 V3 on sale a couple weeks back on Amazon. Oh baby! Where have you been all my life?!?!?!?!?!?! LOL! I see it is on sale again today, I HIGHLY recommend it if you've been wavering on buying one. It is so versatile and I am not even done exploring all the things I can do with it. (I need to add here I am now signed up to earn referrals thru Amazon when I link stuff from them, but am in no way getting any other compensation from them. I am not a paid reviewer on any of my blogs). So far I've done chicken bone broth, a couple roasts roasts, some chicken, brown rice, and checked out the slow cooker function. I have been going with the recommended times for things, but on the pressure cooker side I think I can adjust the time down a minute or two on a couple things. Last night I made pork loin chops with garlic and turmeric rice. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!!!!! I adapted a chicken and rice recipe with it set for a
