Had a very nice weekend. Stayed warm and got a few things done. Had a lovely time at Mrs Claus' Holiday Bazaar: Talked with lots of folks, made a few sales, gave away a few business cards and plan on doing it again next year. One thing that was really cool was chatting with the little 5th grade girl who was absolutely fascinated with all the bits and bobs from the computers and explaining to the best of my abilities what each part did. I need to remember to take a blown out hard drive to shows so kids can see how things go together. Sunday was fairly low key. Straightened up the living room and broke out the holiday decorations. Got half the living room done and lights in the front windows. Looking sparklie! First set of lights: This window is done: Pics aren't great, sorry. I took them with my cell. Once I get everything done I will get better pics with my camera. In the meantime :D Got the buffet decorated: Even Pengy is ready for the holidays LOL! Somewh

Trying to stay warm, it is BLOODY cold outside!!!!!!!!! Windows have been bubble wrapped and plasticed, the heat curtains are hanging in the living room by the front door, between the kitchen and living room and down the hallway, keeping the thermostat in a zone with no drafts. Did have an issue with hot water yesterday, it froze WAAAHHHH!!!!!!! Luckily we had that fixed is a reasonable amount of time with opening the under cabinet doors to let in warm air to various pipes, a blow dryer down the hole over the water pipes for the washing machine, turning the heat up in the house and hubby cranking the hot water tank to maximum. We'll leave it at that temp for the time being and just remember that it will be scalding hot when we turn on the taps. On energy saving mode it is just about right temp-wise so I never worried. Gearing up for a couple of weekends of selling. This Saturday is Mrs Claus' Holiday Bazaar at the Latah County Fairgrounds from 9am-3pm. I have a table and

I love holiday leftovers. Made pancakes out of the leftover sweet potato stuff I made and I have some yummy lunches this week. I added 3 eggs and a bit over a cup of GF all purpose flour and then onto the electric griddle and VOILA! Great use of leftover side dish.

So I had no disasters this year, only a couple little oopses and probably can't count those. But nothing going wrong is still making me very, very nervous, I am expecting TEOTWAWKI any minute now. I guess I finally got all the timing down for putting dinner on the table after all these year (knock on wood!). So, stuffed the bird with onions, apple, lemon, rosemary, sage and thyme and shot it up with my homemade mead. Had it in the oven with 10 minutes to spare (I was aiming at it going in at noon). Thawing it in the electric Coleman cooler was a very good idea (as is using it for leftovers this week). Our friend came over with his Xbox 360 and we played Diablo III until my mom and aunt came over. I'd set up a noshing station on the buffet of carrots, cheese, smoked sausage, celery, cracker, olives and roasted garlic butter parmesan mushrooms. Turkey was actually ready a half hour before I'd planned, but that was not a disaster, just moved turkey time up a bit. Made
