SCORE!

Hit Goodwill on Sunday and came away with a vase filled with odds and sods jewelry: Mostly junk jewelry, but lots of chunky beads and such I can use elsewhere, there were also a couple really nice necklaces with some great shells on them. May have to see about going back and getting a couple more vases (and then donate the vases to the Hope Center to spread the wealth LOL!). Was trying to get some new photos of the pendants I made, but Scrapper kept being utterly cute: You can see some of the jewelry I got in the vase under Scrapper. Proof that cat are related to dragons. I had them laid out on the table and he promptly jumped up and made himself comfortable on the pile of sparklies LOL! Have to build myself a decent light tent, none of the photos I took of the pendants turned out very well. I will be working with a friend in a couple weeks to get more pictures with her as my model, mostly the earrings and I think I will have her wear the pendants also. Hope the weather is r

Just a little wet today

Spring on the Palouse, from dry to deluge in about 5 minutes. Not a terribly long thunderstorm, but hopefully more thunder and lightening later.

So what have I been up to of late?

Not much, been a fairly low key last couple of weeks. Weather hasn't been too cooperative for a lot of stuff, so been mostly watching Netflix and what we have on the DVR. Did come up with a pretty good recipe for buckwheat pancakes this weekend, very yummy: Have to tweak the recipe some, but made enough to pop leftovers in the freezer so hubby can have something different for breakfast for a change. Can't wait to try other buckwheat recipes, it is quite yummy. Have to sit down and do some serious organizing of pantry and storage space, with all the various flours and other GF ingredients I have to cook with, I am managing to misplace stuff on a regular basis. Still haven't found my baking powder and I really do need that for a lot of recipes. I need to get pots and pans out from under the counter and onto the peg board I still need to put up, the stuff on the shelves into the cabinet under the counter and then all my flours and what not up on the shelves on the wall

I was a really, really good girl

I didn't break out the video camera last night after we brought Scrapper home. Poor baby, he was still seriously woozy from the surgery and INSISTED on coming out of his carrier earlier then the vet advised. Started a ruckus in it and he has this high pitched whine that makes me immediately go to him. So I let him out. He couldn't walk. Flopped everywhere, all over the living room. Had a VERY hard time trying not to laugh at him. Swooped him up and tucked him on the the spot I has set up for him to rest, he refused to stay still. Tired to snuggle him on my lap and I have some very nice new punctures in my knee as he insisted on getting down. Put him back in the carrier and repeat :P Finally let him out and kept an eye on him as he wandered all over the living room. Eventually he got more steady, even insisted on climbing up on the table where we usually keep his food. Vet had said not to let him climb or jump, etc. Vet doesn't know the little snot very well. Got h

Made my first Etsy sale last night thru my shop , a pair of seashell and cat5 wire bangle bracelets like this one: Packaged it up and shipped them this morning. SERIOUS HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Downside of this Monday morning was we had to get up early to drop the Scrapper cat off at the vets, his tooth problem is getting bad, so he is getting kitty teeth surgery today. I thought I was going to feel uber bad for leaving my poor baby with strangers, but he was so good on the trip over, with minimal fuss getting him into his carrier that I know he knows he will feel better after today. We will pick him up on the way home after work this evening. Fairly quiet weekend, FINALLY got the see the Daytona 500 race yesterday, then we watched Phoenix. Made pork stew for dinner, came out yummy. Picked up some whole wheat French bread for the hubby and I had Udi's gluten free whole grain so we has serious yumminess to dip into the yummy stew. Lunch of leftovers today is going to be sc
