Hmmmmmm......

We seem to be a stop on the underground trailways for stuffed critters that are escaping Homeland Security. I came out from work yesterday and went to toss my stuff in the back of the car when I noticed a very large moose in the back. I hopped in the front and turned to the hubby and said "there seems to be a very large moose in the back seat". He replied that he'd come out of Costco and found this moose in the car. All the moose said was "Ella sent me". As long time readers know, Ms Ella is a young elephant about town who is hiding out at our place and is also on the run from HS. I am beginning to suspect that Ook is also a HS refugee, tho since he is an orangutan who only goes "ook!" and I don't speak orangutan I will just assume he is. So our little family is growing and Ms Ella now has a traveling companion. Everybody, meet Vinnie da Moose:

DONE!

Finished my letter yesterday and turned it in. I saw some of the other letters and I am trying to not feel inadequate, the other letters were so wonderful. But people liked mine so I guess it is pretty good LOL! I've now gotten a start on my next project, it will be for the Retro show at Mickey's Gyros. The theme is interpreting the 60s, so I think Hippie Dippy Hippie will fit in perfectly. I am going to do a larger piece then this last one, at least an 11"X17". Finally found the hanger tabs I've been needing and not wanting to pay $12 for 100 and $9 shipping. We were in Lewiston on Saturday, drove by Brockman's, which is a place I used to buy my candling supplies and they only do custom framing and supplies now. I picked up enough to last me a while and I really didn't pay much more then I would have if I'd mail ordered them and paid shipping. So I bought local (Lewiston/Clarkston is local as far as I am concerned as we are down there a couple t

Work in progress

This is the letter I am doing for the PWA Alphabet project. Took my painting into Copy Court and had them print it out on card stock. I'd hoped to get it printed 12"X12", but they couldn't do it that large, but said he could do 11"X11". Stopped and thought for a moment and said okay as my vision for it is still in progress and nothing was set in stone. Turned out very nice. I do like the work they do. I had them do my business cards froma .pdf I took in and they came out nice. So I will trim my painting down, mount it and then frame. Planning on some embellishments to it to make it pop even further. Can't wait to see it alongside all the other women's pieces. I'll post when I find out exact dates for the show. Next Friday I hang my photos at the Gritman Wellness Cetner! WHHEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

BLARGH!!!!..... I need more weekend

Today would be a good day to stay home and have more weekend. Cold and ick out. Not a bad weekend, didn't get a whole heck of a lot done and took a 3 hour nap on Saturday. More or less just puttered all weekend. Got out a bit on Saturday to shop and mail off a few packages. Ended up going back to the store on Sunday to pick up ingredients for race noshies. Hubby has to be off sausages and most meat for a while, so I picked up some nice sharp cheddar cheese and some of the Buddig deli slices in chicken and turkey. Made up a batch of my GF puff pastries and baked them stuffed with a chuck of cheese wrapped in a slice of meat. Then I rolled some cheese and meat in corn tortillas and brushed them with olive oil and sprinkled garlic seasoning on them and made baked tacquitos. Very yummy. Made for really good race noshies and dinner. Didn't do much other cooking at all this weekend, just wasn't quite in the mood. The race was good, not too much excitement after the last sev

Is it Friday yet???????

Busy weekend. Had to go up to Spokane on Friday so hubby could get an MRI done, so we puttered about that day. Hit TJ's while we were there and I picked up 3 more bottles of Two Buck Chuck (2 white zins and a merlot), a bottle of their 21 Seasoning Salute and a bottle of their Everyday Spice. Used the 21 spice on some chicken I ground myself in the food processor to make my tacos last. Very yummy. It is a no salt seasoning. The other has sea salt and a variety of spices and comes in its own grinder. Also hit the Mexican grocery and picked up soem of the Goya adobe spices in glavors (lemon pepper and bitter orange). SO we are now seriously herbed and spiced for a while. Uploaded more pictures to Costco Friday night and picked them up when we went to Lewiston/Clarkston on Saturday for more shopping. 3 black&whites and one color. All 8X10s and I got them matted and mounted on Sunday. SO I am all set to hang them at the Gritman Wellness Center the end of the month. My first showi
