Purple Ducky Designs at Zazzle.com ! create & buy custom products at Zazzle I've expanded to another store front. Zazzle offers shirts in a ton of different designs and colors and offers customization of products. This is great for cards and post cards to allow people to add text to the inside or back of cards. They also offer some different products such as US postage stamps, ties and other items. I am still in the process of adding my designs to my galleries. I have split off my political and firearms designs to their own gallery, Purple Ducky Politics . So stop on by and check out what is offered! Check back often as I will be adding products as fast as I can.

Way too nice outside to be indoors

At least this weekend was nice. I did manage to get out and do a few things in the yard, tho my garden spot was still too muddy to do much with. I did get some of my front flower strip cleared out of cheat grass and the hens and chickens rearranged. Need to finish cleaning it out and then start on the front flower bed. I did get the wire shelf hubby scored on latahfreeexchange cut in half. Managed to cut it with the reciprocating saw all by myself with not an injury to my body in site LOL. Also got both halves hung up on the outside of of my porch so I can put some of my containers with seeds on them: The red pot has salad greens and the white one is spinach. It is a good start for gardening while I wait for the soil to dry out a bit more. There are some hangers on the shelves so I can hang some small pots off them. Not sure what I will put there, maybe some flowers. Speaking of flowers: My neighbor left me a sprig of these heavenly flowers in my car. I have been sitting at work breat

More Susan Boyle news. Seems she'd done a song on a charity album a few years back and someone has unearthed the CD and has now posted her song to YouTube. She sings the wonderful blues standard "Cry me a river". All I can say is 'OH WOW! When is she having an album come out, I will be at the front of the line to buy it!". I wish I could sing half as good as her. As I mentioned, it is going to be a nice weekend and I WILL be getting out in my garden and getting it prepped for this spring. My tomato seedlings are coming along nicely and I have plenty of salad green and spinach seeds to go in pots and in the ground. I think I will open up the house a little bit to get some fresh air in. I'll pop the inserts on a couple of windows in the living room and kitchen so I can open them and then just put them back in once the sun goes down. It isn't getting so cold at night that I will need to reseal them. Soon it will be nice enough I can haul out the compressor,

Came across this video of Susan Boyle, a contestant on Britain's "Britain's Got Talent" show via Sandy at Junkfood Science . Most talent shows and such seem to think only people who conform to the narrow standard of beauty and size can possibly have any talent and not only was the audience twittering at this not beautiful person in their eye who's dream was to be like Elaine Page, but so were the judges (Simon Cowell being one, him I was not at all surprised about from comments he is constantly making on American Idol about people's looks and how they aren't Idol material, even when they got great talent). I wish I could embed the vid, but none of the decent quality videos had embed codes available. But click the link and grab the tissues. Susan is great. Better then great, I wish I could sing a fraction as good as her. And the look on Simon's face when she sang her first note was priceless. ETA: Thanks to Jim at Country Comes to Town , here is the vi

Got home yesterday to find a package Marmitetoasty of TWADDLE everyday rubbish had sent me. A while back she had a contest where she put the names of people who commented on her blog into a drawing and my name was one of them.Hubby was completely surprised as I hadn't told him it was coming. It is a good selection of goodies, esp all the Cadbury's deliciousness. I had to seriously restrain myself from ripping open wrappers and indulging in a chocolate orgasm LOL. But I decided I want to stretch the goodies out for as long as I can, so we had the Cadbury's Apricot Crumble Crunch for afters last night: I got a giggle in regards to the flavors of potato chips (crisps) and actually look forward to trying them, tho I am not at all sure about Cajun Squirrel flavored potato chips: I think I leave those for last. I will however try the marmite goodies. I've never had either marmite or vegemite (Australia's version) and have only had it described to me. Usually in not very

Way too nice outside

Getting the urge to get out and play in the dirt, tho at my place it would be more like playing in the mud. Still pretty wet, so didn't get any seeds in the ground. Just getting to my garden space meant very wet shoes from walking thru the lawn. I did get some straightening up done outside on Saturday so I got some thing done. Car went back into the shop on Saturday. We'd gotten it back and the clutch was a bit sticky, being new they said it would need a bit of running in. But on Saturday the pedal decided it was not going to come back up when pushed in without a fight. It got so bad hubby ended up popping the clutch rather violently several times while we were going up 21st St in Lewiston after we'd stopped for a light. He ended up tying a piece of parachute cord over the pedal so he could pull it up by hand so we could get home. Called a neighbor to meet us at the mechanics, so we dropped the car off and left a note with the keys. Hubby heard back from the mechanic this m

Serious yummers!

I was trying to figure out what to do for dinner last night, so I looked in the pantry to see what I had. I found a can of chickpeas that hadn't been turned into hummus, so I had googled recipes with chicken and chickpeas and found several that looked yummy. For the most part I didn't have a lot of the ingredients listed, so I decided to wing a simple one of my own and this is what I came up with . I am so looking forward to lunch leftovers. I'm going to have to look for more recipes using turmeric, this was yummy, but my only complaint is I now have yellow stains on my Corelle plates that doesn't want to come out (I think it may be bleach the plates time). Also going to have to look for more recipes I can use chickpeas in. I had picked up some dried a while back and I need to use them at some point. So glad the snow is almost gone today, I was NOT a happy camper yesterday morning with the snow fall. At least it stopped by the afternoon and the sun came out for a while.
