Happy Halloween everyone :)

Thursday

Almost Friday and Halloween. Not sure if I am going to dress up tomorrow, I think maybe go with something understated and see if anyone notices hehehehehehe. We'll see. Samhain is on Saturday, we are having a small gathering, just the coven and a few invited guests. We are simply too tired to go for the big open rit, esp when a number of people come just to gawk at the witches. It will be much nicer as a smaller rit anyways since we usually were too busy to making the show work to get any good woo woo out of it. We never get any kids trick or treating, so won't bother laying in any supplies, tho I will probably get the skeleton flamingos re-positioned a bit more prominently on the front lawn. My other Black Krim is almost ripe, so am really looking forward to haveing it. My seeds are about ready to be dried, so need to get those done soon. Still need to get my gardens winterized, may get to it this weekend.

Cynical? Me Cynical? NAH!!!!!!

I'm not cynical I just want the whole mess to be over with. I am getting sick and tired of all the campaigning, the mud slinging and the lies. They ALL lie, they are politicians and will say anything to get their way. I care for neither Obama nor McCain, both are simply sides of the same coin. There will be no change, both sides want to keep the status quo, esp if it is in their favor. I'm writing in Teddy Roosevelt for president since there is no one else who is worthy of my vote. I am sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. Hubby has a saying I've posted in my shop : Naw, I'm not cynical, but Wyatt Cenac put it best for me last night on The Daily Show: GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!!!!!!!!

ACK!!!!! It is seriously Monday!

Had a heck of a time waking up this morning. I think hubby has a good idea of putting daylight bulbs in the florescent light fixture we have up in the bedroom and putting it on the timer for mornings. The little bulb in the stand lamp isn't cutting it. We picked up another fixture and we'll be putting it up in the living room so we can have plenty of daylight light in there. Slowly getting the house decluttered. Picked up another couple of bins at Buy-Mart when we were down in Lewiston/CLarkston yesterday. I repacked all my Christmas stuff into one and several smaller bins and recycled the cardboard boxes I had them all in. The boxes wee getting pretty trashed and I was able to toss a whole bunch of stuff. Hubby checked some of my extra light stands and found a couple that were toast. We stripped the bulbs off and tossed the stands. Now I know all my lights will work when I decorate in a couple months. Been busy with my shop . Almost had a Painted Turtle Flip Mino sold, but t

I have finally accepted that you have moved out and are living elsewhere. It has been 2 months since you went on walkabout and with the weather getting colder I have to believe you've found a new home. I really miss you and hope you are happy where you are at and that you are getting all the tummy scritches and cuddles you love. I miss waking up in the middle of the night to find you snuggled up on me, or if I had gotten up, you climbing right up to get comfy before I've had a chance to settle back in. I miss you whiskers poking up my nose and tickling me when you snuggled in close. I still look for you when ever I am outside, hoping to see you running towards the house from where ever you've been playing. I miss watching you stalk one of your brothers or sister thru the long grass and then leap out at them and chase them across the yard. I miss sitting on the couch and having you snuggled up in my lap. I hope Momma Bastet is watching over you still and making sure you are

Can't think of anything clever to title this today

Monday again, had a pretty nice weekend. Didn't get the pizza made until Friday night, turned out to be quite yummy. Did a bit of puttering about this weekend and a bit or out and about. Hit the Coop on Saturday to pick up a re-fill on Dr Bronner's peppermint soap. We'll need to get a re-fill on the baby soap in a few weeks. Scoped out a few things we'll be needing also, but will wait until the budget is a bit better. Noticed Chang Sing's had a big "under new management, grand opening" banner, so we popped in for an early dinner. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!! Very delish and we'll be back in the near future since I want to bring my camera and do a review. Yesterday we popped over to Shopko in Pullman, hubby needed a new VHS so he can do transfers to DVD. Our old machine crapped out. Can you FIND a plain old VHS? No! We ended up with a VHS/DVD machine. Just a DVD player, the recorders were pretty pricey and the last one we attempted to use didn't work well. At le

An announcement from Oleg Volk at The High Road

Received this in my email last night: Dear JeanC Welcome to the new home of The High Road(tm) forum. My name is Oleg Volk, and I am the owner of The High Road(tm). When I started the forum in 2002, my vision was to create a place where people from around the world could engage in cordial discussion of RKBA related matters. Since then, you have helped make The High Road(tm) one of the best places on the web for learning about firearms, for educating new shooters and for supporting effective advocacy of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Due to pending legal issues, I am moving the forum to a new home at TheHighRoad.us . This is the one and only official site at this time, owned by me. The same high standards of civility apply. In the near future, we will provide more than just a forum. The High Road(tm) is becoming an information and activism center for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. With the help of GeoVario, our new host, The High Road(tm) is now online in its new home. The new

BRRRRR!

Was a wee bit chilly today. Hubby finally got the air conditioners pulled, so it was at least a bit warmer in the bedroom this morning. Poor Scrapper went running into the office to discover his "door" was gone. The board had fallen out and they figured out how to push the reflectix enough to get in and out. Been adding more designs for the Flip Mino . I've also several of them in sections where I was able to adapt existing designs I already have in my shop. When I get the chance I will also be doing my body acceptance designs for them. Hanging out on the shopkeeper boards I saw a few people are starting to sell them, so with Christmas and Yule coming up they would make a nice present for someone. Got my laptop back, hubby took it to Computer Crazy to have the power connector fixed. It was loose and since I have a 5 minute life on the battery, needs to be plugged in if I want to use it. Was working great until I knocked it off a kitchen counter last night (I use it for

New product at CafePress

So CafePress has added a new product shopkeepers can offer, it is the Flip Mino camcorder. A cute little camcorder similar to the RCA Small Wonder I use for my vlogs on YouTube, only with longer recording time and you can customize it. So I adapted several of my own designs and some new designs from some of my photos and have them in Purple Ducky Designs . Here are some of the ones I've gotten so far: Ms Ella Phant : Landscapes : Fall foliage : Ice window photos, straight and GIMPed : GIMPed shattered glass : and watermelon and sliced tomatoes :

Arrggghhh, Monday again.

Survived the weekend, left leg is still giving me grief, tho it isn't quite as bad this morning as it had been. Been trying to stretch it when I can and am back to being cranky about having the cane handy all the time. Oh well. We are babysitting a friends ratties (Beaker and Lucy) for a couple of days. She had to pop out of town for a couple of days and the one needs to have medication 3 times a day, so she couldn't just leave them with plenty of water and food. So I said I'd look after them. It is really nice having ratties around again, even for a few days. I'm still not ready to get my own again, they leave so quickly I can't handle it anymore. Maybe again someday, but not yet. I was a bit out of practice giving the little sweetheart his meds, we ended up equally covered in tetracycline with a bit making it down his throat the first time. I got lots better after that. I did attempt to disguise it in some mashed banana and peanut butter, but he wasn't fooled

%&^$^##(!!!!!!

I'm back on the cane, this time for my LEFT knee. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It started giving me grief a couple days ago and by the time I got off work on Wednesday it was popping every time I walked. Then it started locking up on me and the tendons in the back of the knee hurt like hell. I am not a happy camper. We think it is because I've been favoring the right knee for so long that the left one felt left out and decided to act up. Didn't help matters much this morning when hubby wasn't feeling well enough to drive me to work, so I had to. I am giving real serious thought to getting a car with automatic transmission. I was in serious pain driving in and operating the clutch. OWWW!!!!!! Oh well, I'll be heading home at lunch to give hubby the car and then he'll drive me back to work. He has a client this afternoon and is feeling lots better. IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've a friend coming by this afternoon to look at the s

Fribble

It is officially fall, I put the inserts into the living room windows last night to keep the chill out. I'll have to wait a bit on the kitchen windows as I still have the tomato plants there and they need what ever sunshine they can get. The Black Krim is ripening up nicely and both plants are flowering to beat the band and I am seriously tempted to do a bit of hand pollination and see what happens. Be kinda cool if I can keep them producing thru the winter. Watched both last weeks race and yesterday's race yesterday. I thought Talladega was going to give me a heart attack. I am so glad to hear that Denny Hamlin has been released from hospital this morning and is doing fine. I started crying when he crashed and they were taking so long to get him out of the car and when they played the audio from his radio and he wasn't answering. He did take a pretty hard lick into the wall (and thank goodness it was a safer barrier, a regular wall would have been very, very bad) so it is

Finally Friday!!!!! Tried watching the debate last night. I armed myself with the God Gun that shoots foam discs so I would have less chance of breaking the TV by throwing something at it and a couple of the Palin Bingo cards. Hubby got a couple of them also. We didn't get home until 6:15, so got started on the debate late, so we just jumped in (forgot it was starting at 6pm our time and didn't set up the DVR to record) and immediately started crossing off squares on the cards. I figured I would end up i the bedroom watching Simpsons while hubby finished out the debate, but after 15-20 minutes of listening, hubby gave up in disgust. He kept yelling at her to answer the questions. Instead she recited her practiced speech and sound bites and never said anything of substance. At least Biden answered the questions and I think he is an idiot. So I wasted 20 minutes of my life I will never get back listening to an idiot and a moron on TV. I only used the God Gun once, that was on Bi
