Coolness

CafePress has added some new products, zippered hoodies, a dark hoodie and a dark sweatshirt. The hoodies come in some colors besides black. So I'll be adding those to the clothing sections of my shop over the next day or two. My shop is ticking along. I've been adding new designs periodically. I am hoping to sit down sometime this weekend and just work on designs and adding them. I've started doing designs just for the Flip Minos (both the regular and the HD model). I've been having fun with Inkscape doing that.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Sitting here, listening to Classic Vinyl on Sirius and drinking lemon tea with honey. Good way to start the morning. So count down to turkey day has commenced. The bird was bought on Saturday and it in the fridge thawing. We also picked up a ham and I'll cook that tomorrow, along with Alton Brown's green bean casserole, tho I won't do the onion topping until Thursday so it will be crispy. I'm going to be shooting the bird up with my mead this year instead of wine. Should give it a nice flavor. I'll do up the pies, mashed potatoes and the sweet potatoes today. Mom arrived yesterday, we picked her up at the airport and took her to her hotel and then home for dinner. I'd popped a roast in the crock pot with some onions, seasonings and mushroom soup. Served it with a salad and stove top stuffing stuff. Made for a nice dinner. Not sure what we'll be doing tonight. Tomorrow will be some of the ham and something. May look at a scalloped potato dish of some sort. Al

Yes, I am redecorating again

I'll probably change the template a couple more times to see if I like anything else. I just need to sit down and design my own template to use, but that is going to take a bit of time. Counting down to turkey day. I've a shopping list going and hope to get most everything I need in the next couple of days. Need to inventory the pantry to see if I need any spices and it so, add them to the list. Didn't make any apple butter this year, so am looking at different recipes for pumpkin pie. I will be doing Alton Brown's green beans again, not sure if I will do them a head of time or on the day. We'll see. I'm taking next week off, so I will have plenty of time to finish decluttering the house and cook. We are having both my mom and brother up for turkey day, so that will be fun. We hit the range this last Sunday with the VFET , had lots of fun. Have some pictures up on their site now and will have video once I finish processing that. It was a very nice day for the sh

ACK!!!!!

It is almost 2am Friday morning and I can't sleep. I would have taken a sleeping pill, but even the short acting one makes me groggy in the morning. SIGH!!!!! So here I sit tweaking websites and drinking hot cocoa with the Scrapper cat snuggled up to me. I will toddle off in a few and see if the hot cocoa will do the trick and help me sleep. The sites I have been working on are now up and running. The one is for Vandals for Firearms Education and Training and the other is for Aikido of Moscow . I'll be adding more content to both sites once I get more info and get some pictures and video. Looking forward to range day this weekend, hope the weather holds. It is with VFET and I should have some good pics to add to the site next week. Probably will wait until the next range date to get video. Okay, seriously yawning now, so time to toddle off. nite nite every one.

YAY!!! The week from hell is almost over!!!!!!

Between the weather and people dropping out sick, this has been a week I would like to see over. Things are not as bad as they were on Monday, but I've had better weeks. Looking forward to the weekend, hopefully it will be nice enough to finish the outside work. We need to pick up some more plywood to close the deck in again for the winter. We also need to do a serious grocery shop, so we'll head down to Lewiston at some point. It is time to start thinking turkey day. My mom and brother will be here this year, so that will be fun. I invited my friend J so we will have a full house for T-day dinner. I'll be doing the bird as usual and be spending the week running up to the big day getting a lot of the side dishes and desserts done a head of time. Hubby is also wanting ham, so I will bake one the day before and then have it sliced and ready for the next day. We are going to make Keister sauce this weekend. We are getting together with our friend B and then we'll have enou

Did some more scanning this weekend: 2nd grade class photo, Mare Island Naval Shipyard CA: 3rd grade class photo: 6th grade class photo, Ayers Elementary, Concord CA: And for a complete giggle, me at 8 years old: I still have those glasses. Came across them the other day going thru a box of stuff. Funny thing is, I tried them on and tho they are a bit of a tight fit, could read a book with them with no problems.

Mmmmmmm, Friday

Not much planned for the weekend. Just putter about and do some more cleaning and flinging. Need to go thru the deep freeze and get stuff that has been in there too long tossed. Hoping it will be nice enough outside to get out and get some outside work done. I'll be working on more designs for my shop and hope to get them up Sunday. I've also been working on web pages for a couple organizations. One is a student group and the other is for an aikido dojo. Still need to do more tweaking to the one and the other needs to finish propagating. Unfortunately there is an older page for the dojo that needs to get taken down since it is out of date and the person is no longer doing it. So hopefully that will get done soon. I still need to re-do all my pages and the one for hubby's business. Kitties are definitely not happy, neighbor say coyotes in the area again, so kitties are gettign locked up as soon as it is dark and not let out at night. Pheobe was seriously a cracker cat last

Dear Mr Obama

Congratulations on your win last night. I am hopeful we will be able to overturn the mistakes of the past 8 years and move forward. I did not vote for you, I did not vote for any of the candidates offered on the ballot here. I wrote someone else in. I looked at this election as if I were with a company who was hiring someone for a position and I did not feel any one of the candidates, including yourself to be fully qualified for that position, so could not in good consciousness hire any of you. However, many of the other people on the hiring committee felt you were, so you have now been hired to be President of the United States. I hope they are right, that you do have what it takes to run this country. Please prove me wrong, if you do I will be delighted. So again, congratulations on your promotion and good luck. Highest regards, Jean C

I think I sprained my wrist a bit yesterday. I took advantage of the rain quitting to get the big AC unit into the shed and now it hurts to move my right wrist. Plus I shredded the tip of my left ring finger on the splines. Oh well, I guess it isn't too bad, managed to survive the weekend with most everything intact LOL. Saturday we did Samhain and had a lovely time. A much smaller group and definitely got some woo woo off it. Also a much smaller bonfire and even with the rain it went well. Sunday was a pretty laid back day, tho we did get a bit of work done. Got most of the living room straightened up, hubby has been working in the office. Finally got a strip magnet up for my kitchen knives. My kitchen counters are so small that the knife block I have that my dad made takes up a bit of room, so I have that emptied out and will store it until such a time as I have some room to use it again. Got a big bag of assorted homegrown tomatoes from a friend so I am going to chop them up and
