Almost there!!!!

It is looking too nice out to stay indoors, but this weekend is supposed to be really nice, so am really looking forward to it.

Saturday is the Moscow CommUNITY Walk:

"It starts at noon at Friendship Square with welcoming notes and essay readings by Moscow students. University of Idaho President Tim White, Mayor Nancy Chaney, Rep. Tom Trail, and ASUI President Humberto Cerillo will be among the participants, with Daily News editor Steve McClure serving as emcee. The walk, accompanied by bagpipes, will proceed to East City Park, where there will be a potluck meal, music, and entertainment."

So I will be going and taking Ms Ella along. It has been a while since she's been out and about and this would be a good event for her to attend. She even has new sunglasses to wear.

Watched a really neat movie last night. Thought is was going to be one of those we'd watch about 10 minutes of and then delete, but it turned out to be a keeper. It is Undead and written, directed and produced by Michael and Peter Spierig. It is an Australian film from 2003 and very low budget and I highly recommend it for those people who love comedy zombie science fiction films.

Here is a really neat link for L. Neil Smith fans.

Didn't do fried rice for dinner, discovered we were out of soy sauce, so hauled out a couple frozen pizzas and added some sliced cheddie braats, made for a nice quick dinner.

Does Moscow have a sister city in Canada?

I don't think so. I think Europe and South America somewhere.
I have that L. Neil Smith graphic novel...it's great!

For something else great on the net, go to www.baen.com/library then find the author Michael Z. Williamson. His book "Freehold" is a great piece of Libertarian science fiction in the same tradition. Think of it like John Ringo meets L. Neil Smith meets Heinlein, with a dash of David Weber tossed in for good measure.

It was cool to read this book -- Michael is an old friend of mine from Chicago SF fandom! We used to sit around the consuite and talk about all sorts of stuff.
