Busy weekend and not nearly long enough!

I've definately been spoiled with my summers of 3 day weekends.

Didn't do a whole lot, did get some pics of my tomatos:

Roma tomatos

I saw a tinge of red on the one roma, so fingers crossed I'll have LOTS of ripe tomatos this weekend. I processed some more walla walla sweets. I sliced and rough chopped a bunch and have 4 sandwich baggies of them in the freezer. I put up a half gallon mason jar of pickled onions in the fridge for hubby. I still have about a third of the sack left to process. I'll drop more in the dehydrator, probably tomorrow night after work.

I dried a couple more zucchini and some cherry tomatos yesterday. I need to see about getting more olive oil so I can store some of my tomatos in oil in the fridge to make them extra special. Still have some yellow squash to process, not sure if I'll dry them or just cut and freeze them.

We drove down to Lewiston on Saturday, gassed up at Costco for $2.96 a gal (we're about 10-20 cents more a gallon up here) and picked up a few things at Costco (loratadine, feta and bagels). We stopped at Black Sheep sporting goods and I got a new fishing pole, another 8'6" one. It is made by Eagle Claw, the same company whose hooks I like. A very nice pole.

Hit Ross, got a nice lacey black skirt. I have to cut the under skirt off of it, it looks pretty bad, wrong length and wrong material to be under the lace. I picked up a back satin slip at Fashion Bug Plus that will go under the skirt nicely and I'm going to go thru my material and see what I have I can make another under skirt, something with color I think.

We took the long way home via Kendrick. We stopped off at the casino on the rez, but they don't have any proper one armed bandits (I hate the electronic ones where all you do is push a button, I want a real slot machine) and their restaurant was pretty minimal. We stopped at a cafe in Kendrick for dinner and then drove to Spring Valley to try out my new rod. We only had about 45 minutes of light for fishing, but it was enough to see my rod was a good one.

Yesterday we picked up some cooler packs (the kind you pop in the freezer) off of Freecycle and then did a recycling run. Did the readings for my class, tho I still need to go out and buy the textbook. Have to get it soon.

Dinner was simple, I pulled out some of the shredded beef, heated it up with a gracy packet and water and added some of the dried walla walla. Made sandwiches with it with some bagels and cheese.

Since I get out of class tonight at 8:30, dinner will be some steak I pulled out last night to thaw in the fridge and some kind of potato stuff, most likely mashed potato stuff as that is faster then the baked au gratin potato stuff.

Wearing the new blouse I got from Shopko a couple weeks ago, have gotten lots of compliments on it:

Hubby is recouping nicely, tho he's got to be careful about lifting things. He keeps forgetting and lifts something heavy.
