Sunshine!

More or less, I had the inserts out of the living room windows yesterday and had a nice sunny living room. I really needed that. Even had the windows open for some fresh air :)

We did make a trip down to Costco yesterday for cat food, got enought TP and paper towel to last half the year :D Picked up a 6 lb bottle of honey, with luck we can see about doing a little mead. Picked up a three pack of seasoned pork loins for a treat. 1 was honey chipotle, another is apple smoked and the 3rd is bacon peppercorn.

Did french toast for breakfast yesterday, used the sourdough loaf I'm made last weekend. Very, very yummy. I topped mine with some herbed goat cheese. Winco had it on sale for $1.98 when we popped in for chicken on Friday night (and doritos and cream cheese LOL). Made for a really YUMMY french toast MMMMMMMMMMMM

This morninng's breakfast was the last of the farm fresh eggs, bacon and toast.

Going over in a bit for Ostara planning, so I have a loaf of whole wheat bread going (lazy day, tho may whip out another loaf later tonight). I do need to process 5 lbs of burger and cut up a chuck roast when we get back. We hit the "dangerous store" in Clarkston, that is where Sid's Sword Shoppe is located. Managed to get out with less then $10 in purchases, picked up an ulu style knife. This is the type that the Alaskan and other natives of the far north have used for centuries. Should be a nice addition to the kitchen.

Okay, just put the oven on pre-heat. The loaf hasn't risen as mush as I like, but it should still be a pretty decent tasting loaf.
