A seriously WOW webpage

This page is making the rounds of the size acceptance sites and lists. It is called I am . I found it to be very powerful. The site might not be quite work friendly depending on where you work, the photos are very tasteful nudes.

TGIF!

Okay that probably should be TGIT, but since I have a 4 day weekend, it's Friday for me :D When I get home tonight we'll get things together and partially pack the car. We plan to be on the road by 6am so we can get to Eugene in plenty of time (we are definately going to try and avoid Portland rush hour). Hubby got a locking gas cap for the subaru. Our gas milage had gone to hell and then suddenly got better. Our neighbors have reported their gas milage has gotten worse and when we mentioned it to another neighbor, he said his gas milage has gotten bad also. So we think someone is siphoning off gas out here. This is not surprising as gas has risen to $2.19 yesterday. The wind the last few days loosened one of the skirting panels, so when I got home last night I went out and tacked it down, along with a couple panels on the other side of hte trailer. I also noticed that the rhubarb I transplanted is coming on strong, along with some rhubarb that apparently escaped the move. I

Safe, so far..

The girl scout cookies that is :D Hubby would be very upset with me if he didn't get any of the thin mints. I much prefer them out of the freezer, so I like to store them there. Same with the samoas. Freezing them seems to make them taste so much better. Special break was very good. They had red and white sparkling cider as pretend wine (the disadvantage of working for the state, no alcohol allowed on campus :( ), at least 3 kinds of lasagna, a couple other noodles dishes, a tortilini dish, a pasta salad, bread, fruit, what looked like a lentil soup and a couple desserts. I don't think I'm eating dinner tonight, hubby is on his own :D The tables had checked tablecloths and wine bottles with candles in them. There were maps of Italy on the walls, a large Italian flag over the bulletin board and a tape of Italian opera on the boom box. All in all a very nice break. I've activated the 'Change layout" feature Bravejournal has for journals. What this lets people

must..resist..girl...scout..cookies!

Today is Girl Scout cookie day, my order was just dropped off. 2 boxes of thin mints and 1 box of samoas. Now I just gotta insure they make it home LOL Couple more days and it is my 4 day weekend and the trip to Eugene to visit a friend. Luckily hubby has had some clients who've paid or are paying this week so we at least have gas money. May not have any shopping money :( but it will be nice to get out of town again for a little while. Made potatos au gratin with ham last night. Hubby also wanted burgers, so we stopped at Safeway and picked up some Rancher's Reserve ground beef. Definately yummy stuff. There was an extra burger left, so he can have that for lunch. I brought the leftover au gratin with ham for mine. Special break this afternoon, the employees with names in the last half of the alphabet are hosting an Italian themed break. Should be very yummy :D Managed to snap a couple pics of the kitties being cute this morning. Really need to get those thru photoshop and

We caught one of the jurors who is involved in this story on Good Morning America. She said the only reason they brought in the Bible was one of the other jurors was worried about voting for the death penalty and how that would reflect his faith. If the jurors had pulled out the Bible before they started deliberations or if one of them pulled it out and started haranguing the others with prostylizations, THEN there would be a problem. They were INSTRUCTED to use their moral judgement and life experiences when making the decision. All the other jurors stated they were not influenced by the use of the Bible to help the one juror make his own decision on the matter. This witch has no problems with the jury's decision. I believe in the the Wiccan Rede: "Do as you willl, but harm none", he clearly and deliberately harmed others for his own gratification. So then he falls under the 3-fold law. All that you do comes back to you 3 times stronger, so if you do bad things, you

Peeps on sale at the Dollar Store, 2 packages for a dollar. Gotta love it :D

Not so wet today

The steady rain we had this weekend has let up some, in fact the sun is out a bit. Quite breezy today and more rain expected. We have to get someone over to figure out why our front door is leaking. It leaks between the door and the screen door and the water is leaking into the house. This time it didn't run into the kitchen and flood in front of the fridge, it went the other way and soaked the carpet in the living room under the bookcase :( The fun and joy of home ownership:D Oh well. The rest of the weekend was pretty lazy. With all the rain I definately could not work outside, so just puttered a little bit, mostly did nothing. We did go out to TriState yesterday and wandered around checking gardening, hardware and household stuff. Looks like they now have something that we could use as a martini pitcher in their glassware/bar section. Looked at french press coffee makers and a larger Melita drip cone. Also found they sell blinds that look like bamboo, but are made of vinyl. W

Brrrrr

Cold and windy morning. I don't think I'll be getting any garden work done today. Yahoo definately has a lot of people pissed off about the changes. I really wish they would quite troying to fix what ain't broken. Then again, they really don't give a damn about the people who actually use the system, if they did they would communicate with us. The people who came over from Egroups ended up getting dropped by Yahoo, which was a pity as they were the ones who were actually helping list owners during the merging of groups and clubs. Now they are working for Google on creating Google groups. I am giving serious consideration to moving my groups from Yahoo to Google, but at the moment Google groups are still beta and don't have the features we need. I think however I will keep trying to see if I can move allt he messages in my archives over so in case Yahoo tries to "fix" something again, my archives will be safe from them. Once Google gets the feaures I need,

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

Those frelling IDIOTS over a Yahoo, in their infinite wisdom decided that they would change the look of Yahoo Groups. Now EVERYTHING looks like crap, the colors I had have all been washed out and the whole thing LOOKS LIKE CRAP!!!!!! I've got to find a better place to have all my lists. The problem is I've had the Graves support list for years now and there are 46074 messages that will have to be moved. I started on Onelist in 1999, then they bought out Egroups and then Yahoo bought that and fucked things up then. Now they are bound and determined to drive everyone off with their BS!!!!!! I HATE THEM! I HATE THEM! I HATE THEM!!!!!

Intersting blog

Came across this interesting photoblog on BlogExplosion this evening. It is call Levitation - Daily Movie Freeze Frame . Check it out :)

TGIF!!!

It was snowing when we got up this morning, tho none of it was sticking. We got sunshine this afternoon, but ut really hasn't warmed up much, low 40s. Weather this weekend is supposed to be icky. I MIGHT be able to get some garden work done this weekend, but it might be between raindrops. Oh well, I can at least get all my tomato starts repotted. Today was Vandal Friday at the U. Lots of high school kids and parents wandering around campus. The day is for kids either coming to the U or thinking about coming to school here. Can't seem to think of much to write about today, tho my brain is buzzing. Lunch today was tomato soup with cheese, tho I really shouldn't call it cheese. It was sliced processed cheese stuff. Which brings to mind, has anyone noticed that when they run the Kraft Singles commericals, nowhere do they use the word cheese. All they talk about is how much milk and calcium is in each slice hehehehehe. Oh well, it is still tasty stuff and makes great grilled c

Blorp!

Still full from lunch today. Branegan's has good pizza and a decent salad bar. Spent most of the afternoon trying to stay awake. After a feast like that one should be able to go home and take a nap :D Needless to say, I'm planning a light dinner, at least for me. I've a pork loin I sliced, seasoned and tossed in the oven for hubby. He'll do pork sandwiches for dinner. I think a peanut butter and jelly sandwich should do just fine for me. Fresh ground peanut butter and grape jelly on crushed wheat bread. Snowed on and off this afternoon. Nothing that stuck, plus the temps were still above freezing. I think it was just a reminder that winter could still be lurking around the corner and those of us who garden need to be a little more patient. I think tho I will seed some wildflower seeds out along the back fence this weekend if the weather stays reasonably decent. I need to finish digging up the bunch grass back there to make room for flowers. I hope to attract butterflie

Okay

Slowly getting my links moved or added. So far I've only used 53 of the 150 I can use. Now all I have to do is learn HTML and fix the stuff in my header since I can't seem to get things to go where I want them. Doesn't help when some of the stuff doesn't show up in the visual editor and I can't seem to move it where I want when I use the code editor. I guess this is a sign I really need to sit down and learn all the new editing stuff, instead or relying on 6 year old HTML:D Taking a bit of a late lunch today, we have the going away lunch for a co-worker. I am going to miss her. Her last day is April 1 and it isn't an April Fools joke :( We are going to Branegan's Pizza and I brought a coupon so I can get a price break on their pizza buffet and drink. Did some grocery shopping last night. I was hoping for a better price on hams. Best price around was Winco for 98 cents a pound for shanks. So I only got 2. One is in the freezer and the other I'll do this

HOO RAY!!!!!

I upgraded to the pro version of the journal last night. The most noticable change is the ads at the top are now gone. As mentioned previously I now have 150 links, so most of the buttons up top will become links.

If you let a smile be your umbrella, then most likely your butt will get soaking wet. The only two things we do with greater frequency in middle age are urinate and attend funerals. The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket. To err is human, to forgive - highly unlikely. Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos? Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than in a Hyundai. Drinking makes some husbands see double and feel single. Living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween. After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead. As usual, if you don't forward this to 10 of your friends within the next 5 minu

I hate allergies

Never had any growing up (except to doctors and shots LOL), but thanks to the Graves I've managed to develop a few. Besides the allergies to shellfish and yellowjackets, I've been reacting to cut grass, some pollen and something unidentifiable in the building , probably mold or book dust. Mostly my reactions are just sneezing and watery eyes, unless I am working in the yard and then I react to cut grass with hives on my wrists and ankles, so I have to remember to wear long pants and gloves when mowing the lawn and emptying the bag. Grass cutting is a couple of months away, but there is something in the air today that has got me sneezing like a son of a gun, I think I heard a couple "bless yous" coming from the computer lab LOL I do need to remember to take my loratidine regularly now. Looks like we got some more rain, tho it drizzled rather then poured. We'll take everyt little bit we can get. Got to bed early last night, hit the sack about 10 pm. Hubby wasn'

Cows with guns

I must say....

Even tho I was disappointed that Jeff couldn't finish the race, the race ended on a wonderfully high note with the neck and neck finish and the win by Carl Edwards , who'd won the Busch series race at the same track the day before. I'm surprised I didn't wake hubby up from his nap whooping and hollering. I saved the recording and watched it again with hubby when he finally woke up from his nap. Had some serious rain and wind around midnight last night. We kinda stayed up past our bedtime playing on our respective 'puters and didn't head off until 11:30, so when the weather started we were still awake and I had problems getting to sleep with all the racket it was making. Needless to say, waking up this morning was very, very difficult. Hubby mentioned the client DID send the check off on Friday, so fingers crossed it comes soon. The deep freeze is getting a wee bit empty and I do want to get the journal upgrade. A bit of local dumb twit news, seems some idiot

Ah, crap!

Jeff's out of the race!

Another semi-lazy day

A little puttering about, went to the Cummins Tool truck sale and picked a few little things up. Going back in a couple hours to pick up some of those little laser pointers for a dollar each. They make great cat toys and we know some folk who'd like to have one for their kitties, but don't feel like paying the big $$ they seem to charge elswehere (like Canada). We are wanting a come along for the Subaru, so may look at the ones they have on sale. We would like to get the heavy duty one, but since this is only for emergencies and we don't plan on using it much we'll probably look at getting the medium grade one. We'll see. Currently watching the Golden Corral 500. I'd recorded it so we can zip the commericals and go back and look at things without worrying about running into anything else we are recording. Right now all I can say is WAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Poor Jeff! I'm beginning to wonder if my curse has popped its head up. I stopped going to my college games beca

Another lazy weekend I think

Image
Tho I have gotten a head start on next weeks laundry Went to get dressed and discovered I didn't have any regular undies and I was down to a couple pair of sexy frillies, so I decided I REALLY needed to throw some clothes in the machine. So I figured while I was at it I'd toss in hubby's stuff too so I don't have to deal with it on Monday or Tuesday. Since starting FlyLady I haven't had to do much laundry on the weekends, just emergency stuff (like when the cat pees or upchucks on the bed type of thing), but I somehow mis-calculated things this last week. Doing a little puttering around in the living room, it is mostly clutter that can be sorted in a few minutes and either put away or tossed in the trash. Had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. I love my cast iron griddle, makes cooking grilled sandwiches and pancakes so much easier then in a frying pan. I've had more coffee then I should, so will look at switching to hot tea real soon. Weather today is cold

Why do they keep letting these people out of jail?

Whoever thinks sex offenders are going to stop offending once they are released needs to have their heads examined. Sex offenders need to be shipped off to a remote island somewhere and dropped off for the rest of their lives and not allowed back into society. Let them prey on each other, not innocent adults and children .

Friday giggle

Just heard this on the country station I listen to on the 'puter out of Tennesee (I love the internet ): I don't take no crap from anybody! ... else but you. I wear the pants around here!...when I'm finished with your laundry. 'Cause I'm a guy you don't want to fight! ... when I say "jump" you say "yeah, right". I'm the man of this house! ... until you get home. What I say goes around here! ... right out the window. And I don't want to hear a lot of whining! ... so I'll shut up. The sooner you learn who's boss around here! ... the sooner you can give me my orders, dear. 'Cause I am the head honcho! ... but it's all in my head. And I can have sex anytime! ... that you want. 'Cause I'm a man who has needs! ... but they're not that important. And don't expect any flowers from me! ... because if I'm not mistaken you prefer jewelry. I'm the king of my castle! ... when you're not arou

Andre Norton

Image
One of my favorite authors from my childhood passed away yesterday. Andre Norton was right up there with Robert Heinlein and Ursula LeGuin as an author I'd head straight for once I got to the libray. I adored her Witch World series. I need to go back and re-read her, it has been way too long

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Popped the corned beef into the crock pot this morning and set it to cooking. I'll serve that with oven roasted herbed potatos (no cabbage tho. I don't like cabbage and hubby doesn't like boiled cabbage and I don't feel like making coleslaw). One thing I like about the holidays is lots of stuff goes on sale. We'd picked up a couple of corned beef points for 99 cents a pound. I wish I went back and picked a few more up. Oh well, next year. I don't like the flat cut, it doesn't shred the way I like corned beef, which the point cuts do nicely. The flat cuts are also too lean for my tastes, I don't think they have as much flavor as the point cuts do. The dust storm we expected wasn't as bad as predicted. It was still dusty, I could taste the dust in the air even here in the building (it was coming in via the fresh air intakes) and I was sneezing like the dickins all afternoon. It started raining about the time I got off work and then started really comi

Kewl beans!!!!!!

Bravenet has lowered the cost of a lot of their services and one of them is the journal service. Hubby has finally resigned himself to having a wife who likes to blog and had mentioned a couple weeks ago that once we got caught up on a few things we could upgrade me from the free service to the pro service. At that time it was almost $70 for the year. Well, the other day the wonderful folk at Bravenet announced that they were lowering prices, so now a year is $19.95. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!!!!! So some time in the next week I'm going to upgrade (just waiting for a clients check to get here so I KNOW it won't impact the weekly budget at this time hehehehehe, tho hubby was willing to break out the credit card last night. I can wait (barely LOL)). This means the ad banner at the top goes away and I get to have 150 links instead of 25 and more entries onto my tag board. I very much doubt I would utilize the privacy options you get with the pro version, I like having all sorts of

A giggle for today

Four men were bragging about how smart their cats are. The first man was an Engineer, the second man was an Accountant, the third man was a Chemist, the fourth was a Government Worker. To show off, the Engineer called to his cat. "T-square, do your stuff." T-square pranced over to a desk, took out some paper and a pen and promptly drew a circle, a square, and a triangle. Everyone agreed that was pretty smart. But the Accountant said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said, "Spreadsheet, do your stuff." Spreadsheet went out into the kitchen and returned with a dozen cookies. He divided them into 4 equal piles of 3 cookies each. Everyone agreed that was good. But the Chemist said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said, "Measure, do your stuff." Measure got up, walked over to the fridge, took out a quart of milk, got a 10 ounce glass from the cupboard and poured exactly 8 ounces without spilling a drop. Everyone agreed

Today

is going pretty well, even tho it is cooler this week, it is still too nice outside to be stuck inside :( Oh well. Got more time off coming up, taking April 1st and 4th off for another 4 day weekend. We'll be driving down to Eugene OR to visit a friend. With luck I can hit Trader Joe's again and pick up a few more things and possible another asian market. There is apparently a really big one south of Portland somewheres. I'll check with another friend and see where it is. I wouldn't mind stopping there and picking up a bigger selection of rice sticks of various shapes and sizes. Ran the idea of taking every Friday off this summer past my boss, she didn't see any reason why not. I've been taking payday Fridays off, but since I have such a huge amount of annual leave built up I think a whole summer of 3 day weekends would be a great idea. Have to run it by our department boss, but I doudt she'll have much objections, she encourages us to take time off if we

ATTORNEY'S ADVICE -- NO CHARGE

Here is a forward hubby got from someone. Normally he usually just deletes these either un-read or if he reads them he usually then deletes them without forwarding them. This is one that makes a lot of sense and has some good advice: This is worth reading ... ATTORNEY'S ADVICE -- NO CHARGE A corporate attorney sent the following out to the employees in his company. 1. The next time you order checks have only your initials (instead of first name) and last name put on them. If someone takes your checkbook, they will not know if you sign your checks with just your initials or your first name, but your bank will know how you sign your checks. 2. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put "PHOTO ID REQUIRED". 3. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and any

Monday, blech!

Since our eye appointments were first thing this morning, I'd set the alarm for 6:30 am. And since the little snot (read: Nicky) decided to not come home last night, we didn't get too bed until almost 11pm since we'd been going to the door every 10 minutes and hollaring for him. Needless to say, 6:30 am came WAY to early! The appointments went well. Hubby's eyes are fine, no need to change his perscription. The doc say it would be no problem if hubby got contacts and recommended someone (the opthamologist doesn't have an on site glasses place, so he wrote us our prescriptions and we can shop around for the best prices). My eyes are fine, tho I do have a change in my left lense 'script and he did a baseline for Graves eye disease. I gave permission for his office to get the records from the former opthamologist who had also taken measurements so they can be compared against my latest visit. I just realized I forgot to see about getting a perscription for reading

Partially successful hunt

Got a late start on the geocaching, hubby was a while getting things downloaded into his plam and everything figured out. Then we had to download stuff into the GPS and then we were off. Knew were the first one would be located, we drive by there a lot. It is on private property, but permission has been given and there is a shop there people can stop into. A pretty cool place. Found the cache (actually hubby located it, I wasn't going to dig thru the bushes, someone had mentioned spiders on the log page). Signed the log book while hubby popped into the shop to get something to put in the cache. So we left a little frog and the item hubby bought. Then it was off to the next cache. Got there and started to undo the GPS antenna, then some muggles (means pretty much the same thing in cache-speak as in the books. People who AREN'T) with a dog showed up so we decided to try another cache. The idea is to find the caches as surrepticiously as possible so non-cachers don't disturb

Not a great way to start the weekend

Woke up this morning about 6:30 with a pain in my back so bad I wanted to scream every time I moved. No matter what I did, I could not find a position that made the pain go away. I finally worked my way out of bed and crawled to the bathroom and popped a couple AC&Cs (acetominiphen, caffeine and codine, over the counter from Canada. We usually stock up when we go north of the border) and went back to bed. I was finally able to get back to sleep, but I am now curled up on the couch with the heating pad. The last of the pain is finally going away. I told my hubby I don't know how he can deal with this pain, he says he's had to for half his life and is used to it. Poor hubby. I'm finding having this pain every once in a while to not be good, I don't think I could deal with it 24/7. The worst of the pain is right around where I have the scholiosis in my upper back, but the real disconcerting part was feeling it move down to my lower back and then back up again. OWWWWW!

Jeeezzee, NAPTIME!!!

Hehehehehe, I've been fighting the sleepies since getting back from lunch. We had fajitas for dinner last night and I set aside some of the beef and brought leftovers for lunch (I can't do regular onions or bell peppers, both will do their darndest to kill me. Tummy can't deal with them real well). Heateds the tortillas up in the microwave, then the meat and then topped them with sour cream and a mexican cheese blend. Finished St Dale during lunch, it was very good (tho I did have to do a google on the guy in the straw hat mentioned towards the end but who wasn't named, not bad tho. I got just about all the other references). Luckily I'd packed another book in my bag. So I started Fleshmarket Alley (the British title is Fleshmarket Close) by Ian Rankin . A very different novel from what I just finished. Weather is very sunny and warm, tho someone was mentioning rain tonight. Since they keep predicting it and when we do get some it doesn't amount to much I am

AWWWWWW!!!!!!

RIP Chris LeDoux . I've always liked his music, even when I wasn't into listening to country. I think my all time favorite song of his was "This Cowboy's Hat", it always left a lump in my throat and tears threatening to flood. I am still seriously bummed that I wasn't able to go to the concert when he played here a number of years ago. (edited to add): This Cowboy's Hat Chris LeDoux (This is spoken) Well there's always been groups of people who couldn't see eye to eye...an' I always thought if they'd get the chance to sit down and talk face to face they'd see we all have a lot in common.... Well I was sittin' at a coffee shop, just havin' a cup to pass the time. Swappin' some stories with this ole cowboy friend of mine. When some motor-cycler riders started snickerin' in the back. Started pokin' fun at my friend hat. One ole boy said hey Tex, where'd you park your horse. Now my friend just pulled

Finished "Skeleton Man" by Tony Hillerman. Not a bad book, tho not quite as satisfying as his previous ones. Not sure why, but it felt "lite" for some reason. Currently have "St. Dale: a novel" by Sharyn McCrumb and thoroughly enjoying it. The Dale in the title is Dale Earnhardt Sr and the story revolves around a number of people on the inagural tour of the Dale Earnhardt Memorial Pilgrimage and NASCAR. I think even people who never even heard of NASCAR would enjoy this book, Sharyn is a favorite author of mine ("Bimbos of the Death Sun" is a wonderful send up of SF/F conventions with a murder mystery thrown in and her series with amatur sleuth Elizabeth MacPherson, is wonderful).

PURRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Lunchtime rendezvous with ones hubby, gotta love em!

Changed my layout again

Everything looked fine until I checked my journal in IE on my work 'puter. I've a 15 inch monitor and all my entries were at the bottom of the page again. So my page looks off if someone is using IE and a monitor smaller then a 19 inch :P Oh well, I guess this is the blog gods way of telling me to not get locked into a particular layout, change is good :D

Okay!!!

Hit MBS and picked up a quart of mis-mixed paint for $1! It is a kinda beigie color and we figured it would at least make a nice base coat when we go to repaint. So the cabinet has gone from this: To this: I probably mentioned a couple of months ago we changed the kitchen light after I broke the globe. The original was: The new one is: While we are doing pics, here is the laptop hubby has set up for me for my cook book: I did manage to get out and clean up some of my flower garden, looks a lot better. Earlier today I did up the dry ingredients for the dinner roll dough I do in the bread machine. I made 3 packages and stashed them in hte freezer for future use. I can have hubby pull one out and then do the wet ingredients and start the bread machine before I come home from owrk and then I can do the rolls once I get home. Tried the whole wheat bread recipe in the machine, turned out very yummy, so we'll have that with the roast chicken I have inthe oven. I took some pota

Another sunshiny day

Went outside yesterday with the intent of cleaning up the front flower garden and first went around back to look at the back garden area. Decided to do a little weeding out there first and then thought that I'd just quickly straighten out the one edge of the garden. So I go the folding shovel with the pick and went at it. OUCH!!!!!!!!! Never jump into that kind of physical activity when you haven't worked up to it LOL I am in serious pain this morning from the bending over and digging. Never did get the weeding in either garden done LOL Will go out and do a bit of that today. Did the lamb with taziki sauce last night. Picked up a container of Brown Cow plain yougurt. If you haven't tried it I really, really recommend it. It is more expensive then the regular yogurts, but it is made from organic whole milk and is totally delish. I will never use the low-fat stuff ever again for recipes like this. Luckily the stores do carry another whole milk yogurt in larger containers s

Sunshiny day!

Thermometer is reading 56.7F outside, so I've taken some of the inserts out of the windows to let some light in. Just waiting for it to warm up a couple more degrees and I'll start opening some windows to let some fresh air in. Currently watching last weeks Auto Club 500. Since we were going to be gone we recorded it on the DVR and I've been doing my best to avoid hearing or seeing who won all week :D (updated: DARN!!!! Jeff Gordon ended up out of the race on the last few laps ) Thanks to Steve from Bravenet who told me what was wrong with my journal and IE I was able to run my pics thru Photoshop and got some of them fixed and re-posted last night so I changed my layout back to the one I prefer. Now it should work with all browsers. Today I need to work in the kitchen and get things moved around so I can get that bread box into its new space. I'm thinking on top of the microwave, so I've got to do a lot of decluttering elsewhere to move stuff. Pulled a chicken

ARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

I made the mistake of stopping by the new book shelf. The dean handed me a book that looked good and then I found another one and grabbed it also. Problem is, I am currently drowning in reading material!!!!! (Yeah I know, hard to believe LOL). I am currently reading: All the Weyrs of Pern - Ann McCaffrey (re-reading the entire series actually) Bodies out of Bounds: Fatness and transgression - ed Brazil & LeBesco Fleshmarket Alley: An Inspector Rebus novel - Ian Rankin Good Body - Eve Ensler (actually finished today, I highly recommend this) Skeleton Man - Tony Hillerman Fat: the anthropolgy of an obession - ed Don Kulick & Anne Meneley Revolting bodies?: the struggle to redefine fat identity - Kathleen LeBesco the 2 books I picked up are: St. Dale - Sharon McCrumb The Illuminator - Brenda Rickman Vantrease

Some redocorating going on

Decided to decorate for Ostara (Spring Equinox), so changed the colors so make the place more holiday like. We generally don't do the Easter thing, but I do like to stock up on hams when they go on sale so we have them thru the next several months. If lamb goes on sale I'll stock up on a few legs of also. I do love havig a decent sized deep freeze. Nicky has pretty much forgiven us for abandoning him LOL, he's back to be a lovey kitty. Weather is going to be nice the next several days. With luck I can get outside this weekend and clean up around the gardens and my work area and get things ready, or at least started. Our neighbors son wants to take his girlfriend out to the range and do some shooting, so it looks like Saturday is going to be range day. This will give me a chance to haul out my other guns and rifles and start getting back into shooting shape and also practice some more with my new pistol.
