Okay, I didn't do the recipe exactly as written in the cookbook, it called for part shortening, but I used all butter. Hubby had never had snickerdoodles before and he really liked it, so I saved a few from the batch to keep at home. I strongly suspect I'll be making them more often. The nutmeg added a very nice touch.
Watched a couple more movies from the free weekend. Attack of the 60 foot centerfold was wonderfully campy. I do recommend it, tho not for little kids. There are a lot of bare breasts but it isn't raunchy, just great camp. We are putting this in our permanent collection.
The 2nd movie Q starts of well, but ultimate drags before coming to a rather unsatisfying end. A great performance by Michael Moriarty tho.
