I picked up a book yesterday off the browsing room shelf. If you are into mysteries with a bit of meat to them I highly recommend the series about DI John Rebus by Ian Rankin. They take place in and around Edinburgh Scotland and are hard to put down. They are real page turners.
They have made a series of movies out of the books, starring John Hannah who people may remember as the brother in the 2 Mummy movies starring Brendon Fraser. John is an excellent actor, he did a version of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde that had goosebumps on my goosebumps.
Speaking of good acting, I also recommend people to catch (if you can) a series he did called McCallum. BBCAmerica is running them of late, we record them on the PVR to watch later and zip the commericals. The episode we watched last night was a definate edge of the seat thriller.
